The Department of Law is dedicated to providing comprehensive legal education and training to students interested in pursuing careers in the field of law. Through rigorous academic study and practical training, students are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and ethical framework necessary to succeed in various legal professions. The department offers a diverse range of courses covering various aspects of law, including civil law, criminal law, constitutional law, international law, and more. Students engage in case studies, moot court competitions, internships, and legal research projects to gain practical experience and develop critical thinking, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. The Department of Law aims to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of legal principles, critical thinking skills, and ethical values necessary to excel in the legal profession. Some of the key learning outcomes include:
Legal Knowledge: Graduates will demonstrate a thorough understanding of foundational legal principles, concepts, and doctrines across various areas of law, including constitutional law, criminal law, contract law, tort law, and others.
Legal Analysis: Students will develop strong analytical skills to identify legal issues, assess relevant facts, apply legal rules, and reach well-reasoned conclusions in legal contexts.
Legal Research: Graduates will acquire proficiency in legal research methods, including accessing primary and secondary legal sources, synthesizing legal information, and utilizing research tools to support legal arguments.
Communication Skills: Students will enhance their oral and written communication skills to effectively articulate legal arguments, draft legal documents, and communicate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Legal Practice: Graduates can work as attorneys or solicitors, representing clients in various legal matters such as litigation, contract drafting, and legal advisory services.
Judiciary: With further education and experience, individuals may pursue positions as judges or magistrates, presiding over court proceedings and interpreting and applying the law.
Corporate Counsel: Many companies and organizations hire in-house legal counsel to provide legal advice, draft contracts, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
